I became an Atkins Red Devil when my family moved back to their home town in 1968. I went on to graduate from Atkins High School in 1977. After receiving my Bachelor's degree from Arkansas Tech University, I went on to receive my a Master's degree in Administration. I taught and coached at Danville Public School from 1990 to 1998. I was lucky enough to return to Atkins in 1998 where I became a high school math teacher and coach. In 2012, I was extremely proud to join the staff as principal at Atkins Middle School. The caring staff here at Atkins Middle School strives to help encourage and empower students to be successful scholars and citizens. They plan a rigorous curriculum and are passionate about the student's learning. We appreciate the community and parents for helping in our student's journey through their educational career. Atkins is also my wife, Stacey's hometown. She is the principal of the Atkins Elementary. We have two daughters, Alex and Sydney. Alex, a 2015 AHS graduate and Sydney a 2017 AHS Graduate are both attending Arkansas Tech University. It is a pleasure to be a part of the Atkins School District and I look forward to serving the students in our community.
